# Remove any mildew with bleach solution (1 part bleach, 2 parts water)
# Scrape any loose or flaky paint as much as possible
# Sand

## Sand all existing paint lightly to clean and rough surface ( try to smooth out crappy old paint jobs too )
# Remove dust ( use damp rag or powerwash large sections the day before
