FEAT of Louisville
Through early collaboration with our partners at Clinical Behavior Analysis, Marty’s Orchid House has been able to add Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy training (RAPID Skills Training) and consultation to our center. The first six (6) months of our training and consultation was generously funded by FEAT of Louisville! This ongoing training is so important and this component of our program has truly set us apart from all other day centers in West Louisville. ABA therapy is the behavior treatment of choice for children with Autism and 100% of our staff are trained to apply these basic techniques in the classroom setting. FEAT didn’t stop there! They have continued supporting our program in numerous ways by purchasing and donating items from our Amazon Wish List (i.e. riding toys for our outside play area), sponsoring our fundraising events in 2019, and donating iPads programmed as communication devices to four (4) of our children!

Orchid House joins FEAT of Louisville
Marty’s Orchid House has been honored to join FEAT of Louisville as vendors during the 2019 FEAT 5K and Trunk-or-Treat with First Responders! We are proud to serve as a Level 2 Autism Friendly Business as part of FEAT’s Autism Friendly Business Initiative (AFBI). This means we train all employees on the “basics” of Autism, utilizing the AFBI training video, and make adaptations to our center to accommodate all of our friends on the spectrum of Autism. Marty’s Orchid House is part of FEAT’s Autism Friendly Community (AFC), “a group of more than 40 local providers who have the same mission, to help those with autism, but desire to see more happen in our community. Together, we are working to ensure that there are no gaps in services, preparing our community for the influx of those with autism who are aging out of the system, and working to make Louisville truly an Autism Friendly City.”
FEAT of Louisville continues to support our program in the 2020-2021 year! They have awarded Marty’s Orchid House an additional $8,500 to go towards our playground project so our children will finally have a place to play safely. We appreciate FEAT’s dedication and shared mission in bettering the lives of children with Autism.
